It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before making a reservation.

Naturally, no one books with the intention of cancelling their vacation, but unexpected things do happen, so please purchase travel insurance once you have made your reservation.

Definitions

“Cancellation” is defined as not attending your scheduled vacation with Escapes by Design, including postponing or rescheduling.

“You” refers to the guest booking the trip with Escapes by Design.

“We” refers to the administrators and Escapes by Design.

travel insurance

We strongly encourage you to have travel insurance. Please be sure that your insurance policy covers you for all relevant activities you will be engaging upon on your trip as well as trip cancellation.

Depending on the policy and conditions, travel cancellation insurance will pay for some or all cancellation fees.

With most agencies, insurance must be purchased within 14 days of making your reservation.

guest cancellation

•       50% refund of the total reservation price if cancelled at least 60 days prior to departure.

•        25% refund of the total reservation price paid if cancelled between the 59 and 30 days prior to departure.

•        No refund will be given if cancelled 30 days or less prior to departure date.

Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer credit for a guest arriving late or leaving early. You must submit your signed Release of Liability form within two weeks of booking.

escapes by design cancellation

If Escapes by Design must cancel a booked trip for any reason, you may transfer your full payment to another trip, or you may request a refund of your payment to us, constituting a full settlement.

Escapes by Design is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled trip, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.
